Minutes from the SVA Meeting held March 2, 2016
Meeting began at 1:33pm

- Minutes from the last meeting were reviewed.
- Good turnout at the Camo Cocoa event
- Cocoa recipe was a hit
- Coffee from Capt Roasty was very tasty

- Freedom Dogs
- Tuesday – March 8, 2016 from 11am to 2pm (or when supplies run out)
- Selling Hot Dogs, Chips & Drink
- Need volunteers – come out for however long you can support between 11 & 2pm
- Petition for the Student Vet Center begins on Tuesday March 8th
- Come by the Freedom Dogs event to sign the petition
- VP Announcement
- SVA will be getting more involved in promoting programs that provide services and resources for veterans, as well as coordinating training for programs that provide training to help others
- Examples of programs are: FAST, EQUEST, HCC, ASIST,

- The SVA is gathering donated equipment to increase our efficiency and independence when holding events. Items such as: extension cords, table cloths, tables, power strips, etc.

- Concerned Veterans for America (cv4a.org) is a grass roots advocacy program
- Current focus is the VA Accountability Act
